Commuting for the Dragon Boat festival? Check out our traffic tips

The Dragon Boat festival long weekend is approaching and is expected to bring another long wave of cars bearing down on the nation's roads.

The Transportation Ministry announced several changes to toll-free times on national freeways. Those times will be:

Saturday May 27: midnight to 5 a.m.

Sunday May 28: 3 a.m. to 5 a.m.

Monday May 29: 3 a.m. to 5 a.m.

Tuesday, May 30: midnight to 5 a.m.

Freeway access will be restricted to cars carrying more than three passengers on these stretches and times:

7 a.m. to 12 noon on May 27: National Freeway 1 Neihu to Toufen; National Freeway 3 Muzha to Xiangshan; National Freeway 5 southbound

7 a.m. to 12 noon on May 28: National Freeway 5 Southbound

3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on May 28: National Freeway 5 Northbound

3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on May 29: National Freeway 5 Northbound

3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on May 30: National Freeway 5 Northbound
