The simplified measure to apply for the tourist visa has significantly contributed to the growth of Southeast Asian travelers. In 2016, the number of travelers from Thailand increased by 57.3%, and that from Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia increased by 34.3%, 23.9%, 10.0%, and 6.2% respectively.

Taoyuan Metro Corporation, the co-organizer of Smart Travel Network Cluster, indicated that it takes only 35 minutes to travel from Taoyuan Airport to Taipei Main Station with free 4G network, which is a convenient and economical choice for foreign visitors.
The founder of XONE, Chris Chang, pointed out that XONE offers free reward points to encourage tourists to browse online stores to win free calls, that promotes O2O (on line to off line) applications. XONE continues to expand ASEAN markets by working closely with the tourism industry in Taiwan.
