中國西藏與尼泊爾邊境發生大規模暴洪和土石流，災情相當嚴重，兩國合計已造成472人死亡，還有上百人失聯當中。針對這場天災，總統賴清德以「全英文」的形式發布慰問，向失去至親的家庭致上最深切的哀悼
賴清德指出，「我對所有受到西藏與尼泊爾邊境毀滅性洪水及土石流影響的人們表達關切與祈禱。對於罹難者家屬，賴清德也致上最深切的哀悼，並期盼災後復原工作能安全且迅速地進行。」
